If your not familar with Vonage heres a good article to get you up to speed. Vonage of course is one of the VOIP services that you can use to replace your traditional telephone.
With vonage you play a monthly rate with possible extras for significant usage and/or international calling. Other VOIP services such as Gizmo and Vbuzzer just charge by the minute (or monthly for things such as a regular phone number).
