If you're really crazy over the history of the telephone, then you should really visit this website.
This website contains a list of other websites and items devoted to narrating the history of the telephone. Among the items and websites listed are: the website of the Antique Telephone Collectors' Associations of both USA and Japan; a list of STD codes of the pre-BT era; and a four-hour audio piece on the history of the telephone made by Pacific Multimedia for Western Public Radio.
The problem with this page is that the links are quite old (for example the Antique Telephone Collectors Association changed it's URL 5 years ago to http://atcaonline.com). The reason that these links have not been updated is that the author passed away nearly eight years ago.
