Can you believe the telephone was invented only 135 years ago? I can barely imagine now living without a cell phone, let alone a basic unit that was operated by a central switchboard!
How many of you can remember having "party lines"! That was a blast when I was a kid I can tell you.
We have come a long way from a twang of a clock spring, which was the first cry of the newborn telephone. Now we can download our own ringtones. The list of unbelievables goes on and on.
