Love to talk over the phone? Well be careful when doing it when it's storming outside as you might get killed when a lighting strikes a telephone pole nearby.
This is highly highly unlikely, the fastest path to ground if lightning hits a telephone pole is ground. This is a reason that your house and any building with power going to them have a metal post in the ground going into the ground with a wire attached to it. This wire is attached to the fuse/breaker panel and is designed to divert an electrical surge away from the rest of the house. Electricity will travel the path of least resistance.
